Tricia Strusowski on the Importance of Nurse Navigators in Community Oncology Settings

By Tricia Strusowski, MS, RN
PUBLISHED THURSDAY, JANUARY 1, 1970

Tricia Strusowski, MS, RN, Oncology Solutions, discusses the importance of the nurse navigator role, especially in community oncology settings, at the 2017 ACCC Cancerscape meeting.

For anyone diagnosed with cancer, a 3-hour travel plus extra expenses that a larger cancer center might require isn't feasible. Therefore, it is important that those patients have access to the navigator services in their own community centers.
