Angela Simic, BSN, RN, OCN, of Billings Clinic Cancer Center explains the "Party in a Box" program she and her fellow nurses developed.

Nurses helped patients staying long-term to celebrate big life events. However, before Party in a Box, the process was often rushed and last-minute. This intervention helps nurses keep track of upcoming events and have all supplies prepared for when the time comes. This relieves some stress on the staff and helps to enhance the lives of those staying on as inpatients.
