Nurse practitioners at Regional Cancer Care Associates created a comprehensive survivorship program for the primary care setting that included a centralized list of healthcare providers, such as psychologists, dieticians, and physical therapists that are familiar and experienced in handling the unique situations of patients undergoing chemotherapy, such as fear of recurrence, weight loss and gain, and rebuilding muscle mass lost due to treatment.
