Boyle as its editor in chief following the retirement of Lisa Schulmeister.

Boyle as its editor in chief following the retirement of Lisa Schulmeister.

“We are extremely excited to have Boyle joining the Oncology Nursing News team,” said Michael J Hennessy Jr, president of MJH Associates Inc, parent company of Oncology Nursing News®. “Her immense amount of experience and contributions in the field of oncology nursing will help Oncology Nursing News® continue to grow and improve as a dynamic resource for oncology nursing professionals.”

An early leader in oncology nursing, Boyle brings more than four decades of oncology nursing experience to the role. She has worked as an educator, a clinical nurse specialist, an advanced practice nurse liaison, a program leader and a researcher.

Boyle has received degrees from the State University of New York Orange (Associate of Applied Science in Nursing), Southern Connecticut State University (Bachelor of Science in Health Education) and Yale University (Master of Science in Nursing). At Yale, she was also honored with the distinguished alumnae award in 1994.

“I am extremely excited to join the excellent team of professionals at Oncology Nursing News®. Together, our collective expertise and passion will ensure that oncology nurses across the US are kept informed of timely and comprehensive information that will augment their practice,” Boyle said.

Among her long list of accolades, in 1999, Boyle was inducted as a fellow into the American Academy of Nursing, an honor offered to just 1,000 of America’s over 3 million nurses. In addition, she has delivered over 600 presentations in 46 states and in 14 countries.
