Ragini Kudchadkar on Communication for Patients Without Internet Access

Friday, February 17, 2017

Ragini Kudchadkar, MD, from Winship Cancer Institute, discusses the challenges nurses face when caring for patients who might not have access to the internet.

Patients with merkel or basal cell carcinoma are usually elderly or without access to the internet. This can make communicating with healthcare professionals especially difficult. The way these patients learn may be different and require different methods. Not every patient has internet access and will be better served with face-to-face education or written information.
