Jean Ellsworth-Wolk, MS, RN, AOCNS, coordinator of the cancer survivorship program at Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center discusses navigating adolescent and young adult patients with cancer.

These patients can get lost as they don’t quite fit in with older patients or pediatric patients. They also tend to have the most intense treatments and therefore need careful follow-up to be aware of late and long-term effects. On top of that, they also are at higher risk to develop obesity, smoking habits and drinking habits.
