Melissa Andres, Melissa Andres, BSN, RN, OCN, from St. Vincent Hospital explains the role of the nurse navigator.

There are great technologies, physicians and nurses available, but if a patient cannot access these resources, then they're useless. A nurse navigator will assess a patient's access to resources and support. They will then build a plan which helps to ensure that all the patient's psychosocial and clinical needs are met.
