An update on the progress of the Cancer Harbors survivorship program, filling a gap in patient care.

I have been extremely fortunate to work with a nonprofit here in Colorado called Hope Lives that is committed to helping women and men with breast cancer to reduce the financial and other burdens during the process of being treated for breast cancer. After cancer treatment, however, in that space between no longer being a full-time patient, but not feeling anything like their former selves and wondering how to achieve that again, many people report feeling lost and alone. Responding to the scarcity of services offered in the community specifically for cancer survivors, Hope Lives decided to take a chance on me, a local nurse entrepreneur, to fill that gap.
