Ricardo Bello, MD, MPH, of Johns Hopkins, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery discusses how important it is for patients with breast cancer to know their options following a mastectomy.

Fifty-five percent of women who get mastectomies do not go on to receive reconstructive surgery. Bello wants to ensure that every women is aware of the options following mastectomy, so they can make an informed decision.
