While the buzz surrounding immunotherapy is exciting, the treatment is still effective for a relatively small subset of patients with cancer. Because of that, Lee stresses keeping patients hopeful, but realistic. She suggests that providers remind patients that whether an immunotherapy works or not, the care team will remain with them throughout.
