Some nurses and oncologists are using nomograms to help assess patients’ risk for cancer or recurrence. But even with nomograms, patient-specific, clinical, and pathologic factors considered, getting a definite answer is still problematic. So, healthcare staff must work with the patients to get an accurate assessment as possible, and then choose a treatment plan from there.
